| Family Hospice in Boulder |
Hospice is not a place, it is a well managed system of care. Family Hospice provides a coordinated
team of doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists, bereavement support, spiritual counselors, home health aids and trained
volunteers. When medical intervention can no longer offer a cure, Family Hospice offers palliative (comfort care) with
an emphasis on enhancing quality of life.
The primary focus is to provide care in the person's home or
extended care facility. Hospice care affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones death.
Family Hospice
is dedicated to providing individualized palliative care with services specially tailored to the needs of patients and their
families who are dealing with a life limiting illness.
Hospice is a Medicare benefit.
Hospice coverage is also available through Medicaid
and most private insurance.
No person shall be denied services based on age, race, gender, disease, religion,
national origin, sexual orientation or inability to pay.
Family
Hospice is locally owned and community focused
We are proud members of The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), and the Colorado
Hospice Organization (CHO). We are licensed by the State of Colorado and certified by Medicare and Medicaid .
