                                                   VOLUNTEERS

By volunteering for only a few hours or days a month, you can make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.  Volunteers can choose to work directly with patients and families, in administration activities in the office or in community outreach programs, such as health fairs, or bereavement assistance meetings.

Our volunteers provide companionship and support for patients by reading to them or writing letters for them.  They run errands or give caregivers a brief respite by staying and visiting with the patient for a short time.  Volunteers with professional certifications can provide legal or accounting assistance.  Others may use their talents for art or music or help patients with craft projects.

All volunteers receive special training and are under the direct supervision of a staff member responsible for the volunteer program.
